The American Institute of Architects (AIA), Nevada Chapter recently announced the election of Lance Kirk, AIA as President of the state Chapter for 2021. In his role as President, Kirk will oversee the initiatives of the Chapter as well as continue to raise the standard of architecture in Nevada.
“The membership of AIA Nevada is proud to have Lance Kirk, AIA as its President,” said Carlos Fernandez, Executive Director of AIA Nevada and AIA Las Vegas. “Despite the pandemic, Kirk has remained steadfast in his pursuit to represent the AIA, and the interests of all Nevada architects, at all levels of government. He is a strong advocate for diversity, the environment and green energy. Kirk is a champion of the architecture and design profession and the work he is accomplishing today on behalf of the AIA will live on in perpetuity.”
Kirk received his Master of Architecture degree from UNLV in 2001. Soon after graduating, he founded the AIA Las Vegas Committee on the Environment (COTE) and served as the founding Chairman. He possesses a passion for sustainable and environmental design and believes holistic systems are key to sustaining the built environment and designing better buildings.
