Breaking Ground on Justice: A New Era for Legal Aid in Southern Nevada

April 23, 2025

On April 10, we joined the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and Clark County leaders to break ground on the new Advocacy & Justice Complex—a transformative facility designed by LGA Architecture that will serve as a sanctuary of hope, support, and legal empowerment for our community.

As Southern Nevada continues to grow, so does the need for accessible legal services. In 2024 alone, the Legal Aid Center helped more than 200,000 people—nearly four times the number they served a decade ago. The new complex will meet this growing demand, uniting three vital programs under one roof:
▪️ The Resiliency and Justice Center for survivors of violent crime
▪️ The Family Justice Project supporting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking
▪️ The Guardianship Advocacy Project protecting elderly residents from exploitation

Located next to the existing Legal Aid building on Charleston Blvd., the new facility will be connected by a courtyard and pedestrian bridge, symbolizing the project’s central design themes: Connection, Transformation, and Rebirth. Our architectural approach incorporates elements from the former bank that once occupied the site, reimagined in a modern form that reflects the strength and resilience of those this building will serve.

We’re honored to contribute to a project that embodies justice, compassion, and community. This isn’t just a building—it’s a lifeline. And when it opens in fall 2026, it will be a place where thousands can begin new chapters in their lives with dignity and support.
