“Be water, my friend.”  – Bruce Lee

Charlie Lou

Charlie Lou brings a thoughtful, design-forward perspective shaped by experience on both the client and design sides of architecture. With a Master of Architecture and hands-on project experience from concept through implementation, Charlie is interested in how culture, memory, and human experience can shape spaces with depth, clarity, and emotional resonance.

He is drawn to architecture that feels meaningful rather than performative, and believes good design begins with understanding the deeper logic of a problem. Charlie values thoughtful details, clear communication, and design decisions that are both beautiful and useful.

Favorite Project Ingredients: A clear story, thoughtful details, cultural depth and honest materials

Something You Didn’t Know: I can stare at water or mountains for an unreasonable amount of time and consider it productive.

Friends: Water, mountains, rainy day, cultural history, philosophy and genuine intent

Foes: Bad food, empty spectacle, fake luxury and bugs
